Andy's right Adolph. I watch him make his focusers at work. They are very nice.
Speaking of nice, if you talk to Andy real nice he might even make you a mount. |

Happy to hear its going well Andy. Any chance of a motorised unit in the future to tap the growing astrophoto following? Not saying I can buy one (but need one really its the next best improvement I cn think of for my set up) but having looked at what is available I am convinced you would do a lot better with your approach than say the JMI units.. I expect that yours will be so much more precise and as such must be a must have for astrophotographers. I read an interesting article about Al Nagler offering his first EP at approx $300 when the max in the then market was $30... being the best he sold them no problem and we can see where he is today.. I have a feeling you are on the same path.. I really hope it goes well for you.

| I want to keep it light and simple Alex. These focusers are designed for small aperture scopes, were lighter the weight the better. Mosty for DOB's that don't tend to lend themselves to photography. I'm going to "keep it simple". |

Actually the drift of the article was keeping the business simple and staying in touch with his customers needs. The market you have selected is enormous ... again good luck and all the best for the year ahead.

Thanks Alex. I want to keep selling quality focusers at an affordable price. When I started building my first scope all I could buy was a focuser that either was expensive or plain junk. Now I can't tell you how many I have made before I settled on this design. I may redesign my Crayford to simplify it. To offer a differnt product. This I hope is just the start of the new year. |

Just to let you all know. I only have 4 of these left. Then I will have to do another production run. I have no aluminum stock so it my be quite a few weeks before I get any more. Is there anyone interested in one of these over seas? PMme maybe I can work out a deal with you.

| Do you also take other orders? Personally I´d like to have a piece of equipment I find hard to make myself and perhaps you as an expert machinist can make it for me? If so, I´ll give you a drawing one of these days. |
